Mary Gay Shipley, owner of That Bookstore in Blytheville, Ark., recommends a book about the short-lived Florida East Coast Railway, Les Standiford's "Last Train to Paradise." Her reasons are both professional - people enjoy reading about trains - and personal.

"My husband loved it," says Shipley, who is married to Paul Shipley, a teacher. "He doesn't come to the store very often, so when he does stop by and suggest that we sell something, we believe him."
